We went to the Sumter County Fair and had a great time. The boys loved the animals. We got greasy treats and Atticus won a blue Nemo fish at a dart-throwing booth. It was fantastic.
Then we found the DERBY! Grown men in beat up junkers play bumper cars to the finish! They would ram into each other and chase one another around the staging area in reverse.
At one point a guy's car started to smoke and he had to jump out and run for safety. Then a different guy's car caught on fire. A huge fire engine had to come in and put the flames out. That made the track especially muddy for the next round. This is 4-year-old boy HEAVEN, of course.
We made friends with a boy named Pablo. He made a picture for us to keep as a reminder of our super duper, redneck outing.
